“ Amazing experience! I placed an order for a catered delivery for my company's Black History Month Luncheon. It was delivered fresh, hot, and on time. It was my first time coming here. So the food was sight unseen having never tasted it. Other than the Yelp reviews I took the chance and am so glad I did. Most places I looked at didn't have an extensive catering menu like Poboys and that's what enticed me to try. I ordered: Fried chicken Chicken and andouille jambalaya Seafood jambalaya Collard greens Mini cornbread Shrimp and Grits Fried okra Salad Macaroni and cheese Beignets Food was an 8.5 out of 10. Only because I think the greens were frozen. But for catering, it was fine. I cook a lot of greens and I know you have to find shortcuts for certain dishes for efficiency. We'll definitely be ordering again. ”

“ Chicken came out so hot and fresh, and all of their sides are just...! 10/10. I feel like nothing was too salty or sweet, justttttt right. They don't overdo it with oil. Seafood jambalaya ($28) can get a bit fishy but they put so much seafood, I can't complain! I'd definitely order their chicken combo plate ($22). It does take a while to cook but it comes out so juicy and fresh!! Pork ribs weren't anything special but I LOVED the coleslaw here. They don't make it super sweet, which some people may like since it cuts the grease but oh well. They care about the plating, which is a nice touch & I think it's cute. The people here are so warm and attentive too! ”

“ Hankering for okra - always! Love Cajun - so this place was on my radar. Also sweet potato fries! [faint!] The prices are up a dollar from posted menus, but that didn't stop me. Small place, on a cold night, any heat is lost through the front door every time it opens, but it's a colorful setting and easy-going. Lots of Spanish convos in the kitchen, TV playing an old black and white movie (not sure what it is), and a couple having a large dinner on the small bright floral covered tables. Ordered Angus Burger and the good ol' fried okra to go. Sigh- prices have gone up for eating out after COVID - I'm sure I would have paid 25-50-% less but I want places to stay open and give reasons to g et out of the home! Forked over $30 for the two items. ***** Munched on the okra while stuck on the Bay Bridge evening commute - almost forgot to take a photo of it and got a shot of half of what was left. In 30 minutes, got home and one bite was left. Good timing! The cornbread coating was crispy, but thin, and so a lot of of it fell off of the okra, but it was tasty. Nice little hits of salt every now and then. The Angus Berger was amazing and I dove into it forget again to take a picture of the before and so the shots you get will be of two bites taken out of it, which was really difficult because the burger is really huge! I asked for a medium rare and it's a little bit more toward medium, but it was fine. Very tasty and had pickles along with lettuce and tomatoes and red onions. Accompanying it was the side of fries, which were OK but maybe they would've been better if I warm them up. Included were two sauces, which were perfect for both the burger and the fries. One was red and one was green. I can't tell you what they were, but they were slightly spicy and flavorful. Have to return and for the beignets! ”

“ We were able to find free street parking nearby on a Sunday afternoon. We initially sat outside, because it was sunny, but moved inside before placing our order because it was slightly chilly. It's a cute little restaurant with beautiful colors and a cozy atmosphere. The restroom was large and clean! Now for the food: Everything was delicious! The wait wasn't long either. My swamp iced tea wasn't too sweet which I surprisingly enjoyed! I usually like super sweet tea, but this tea with a citrus flavor was refreshing! The fried okra was addictive! Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside without a slimy taste. Loved it! The mini cornbread wasn't sweet but moist, and actually tasted good with the strawberry jam even though I'm used to eating it with butter and honey. The shrimp and grits dish included Andouille sausage and was very flavorful! Although it had a little kick to it, and my tummy can't handle spicy food anymore, I still enjoyed it immensely! My hubby enjoyed his fish & chips also. I took a bite of his fries and coleslaw and they also tasted good. The service was also good. We'll be back! ”

“ Stumbled upon this place by accident, but sure happy I discovered it. The best okra I have eaten and I'm from the south so had it all my life. The seasonings were delicious and unique- fresh cut parsley is put on it when served, and the side of remoulade is a great edition. The shrimp po'boy sandwich is lovely- crispy battered shrimp with amazing seasoned fries. Also liked the mac n cheese and my son loved the fish n chips. Coleslaw is also killer. Only recommendation is to have unsweetened iced tea available as well. ”

“ We came for lunch on a Thu. The vibe was chill. When we got there, all four of the interior tables were taken already so we sat at one of the outdoor tables. When three customers left before our food came out, we asked to move indoors and the waitress quickly cleaned the tables so we could move inside. Overall, service was friendly, casual, and good-natured. We appreciated it! The food was good. We got shrimp & grits, seafood jambalaya, and the fried chicken plate. As the fried chicken plate takes time (which they tell you about the 22-min wait time on the menu + we were also informed by our waitress when we ordered), I asked for the other two plates to be served first after realizing the chicken was why no food was delivered to the table yet (and I had a very hungry mom with me!); they promptly took care of it. Of the three dishes, I liked the seafood jambalaya most; it had lots of fresh seafood, including pieces of white fish, shrimps, calamari, ~4 mussels, and 3 gigantic clams. The shrimp & grits dish was good, though some of the grits was slightly clumpy. We still ate it all! ”
